up to Preston Park station is LNER K4 loco 3442, it will then take the Marquis
Goes South Southwest Railtour on to Chichester. The signalbox has long gone the

MRC was founded in 1971 and celebrated its 40th birthday on the 7th of October
2011. We currently have around 20 members and always welcome more.

New Year) from 1930 to approx 2200 at London Road Railway Station, Shaftesbury
Place (off Ditchling Rise) in Brighton, East
Sussex, UK. The clubrooms are in what was
originally the Ladies waiting room. We have club layouts in OO, HO gauge and
OO9. Our members have a wide variety of interests ranging from
London Brighton and South Coast Railway in O gauge through London & South
Western Railway in OO through to the Denver and Rio Grande in N scale and
everything in between!
Anyone aged 18 or over is eligible to join,

As well as building and operating our
layouts, we run other events throughout the year such as film and slide shows,
an annual competition for members models and of course our exhibition in
November each year.
Our club rooms are at London Road station
which is the first stop out of Brighton on the line to Lewes, Train services
are operated by the Southern Railway,
with four trains an hour during the day, reduced services evenings and
Sundays. Closest bus stops to the station are on
routes 5,5A and 5B in Preston Road / Beaconsfield Road or route 26 in the
Ditchling Road. Services are operated by Brighton
& Hove, both bus stops are just a few minutes walk away from the
station which is signposted. On street parking is available but is there
is now a fee until 2000.
